The Kinlichee Chapter house is located about two miles off
and north of State Route 264, however the remainder of the
chapter area is remote and isolated. The terrain of the
chapter area slopes to the west, rolling of the Defiance
Plateau. The area is densely wooded with Pinon, Juniper,
and ponderosa in the higher parts of the plateau. The
undercover is mainly sagebrush. The Navajo name is derived
from a historic Anasazi ruin, the ruin is protected by the
Navajo Tribal Park system.
The Kinlichee Chapter conducts meetings monthly to keep
residents informed; residents have a forum to express their
opinions to their Navajo Nation Council Delegate or to
decide on matters concerning their chapter.
